So last Friday, I went to the bank for my normal deposit but this time my sister tagged along to check out Mr. Marine. (Gotta luv the Sister) When we walked up he looked busy and his window was closed, so I went to the other girl I know. She starts the transaction but then he rushes over to her window: “Hey, I thought you were coming to mine?”
“Oh, I thought you were busy?” I replied.
He says: “I was waiting for you!” hmm interesting?
“So are you gonna come on Tuesday to say goodbye?”
I had no clue what he was talking about. He then tells me that he was promoted and he’ll be working at the turtle ridge branch now. As we finish up he says he’ll call me.
All Weekend: NOTHING!
So I purposely don’t go to the bank on Tuesday and I wait until Wednesday. Guess who’s still there? So He makes sure I get his window and We chitchat like normal, He even hands me his Congrats/Goodbye card to read while he works. (Lots of Girls signed that card! And there seems to be mostly men working at this bank I’ve only seen 3 or 4 girls… He’s Loved) So when he finishes up, He says goodbye and I congratulate him and wish him luck at his new bank… As I start to walk away: “I’ll call you tonight!”
I’m thinking…. Ya Right… Whatever….
Guess What?
He Called!
(He didn’t lose my number from 2 weeks ago!)
I missed the call because I was in the shower!
Kris’ Take: See, don’t be so pessimistic, guys are just terrible at remembering. We’d lose our heads if they weren’t attached to our shoulders!
I think I win the award for “Most Melodramatic” wait till u read what I sent to Mr Penpal… My friends kept smacking me upside the head when they found out
Kris’ Take: Good banner by the way, lol.
Laura: Yeah, I like the banner too!
Thanks! I think I’m funny!
Yay! That’s great…all good things come to those who wait! (guess that’s why I always loose out – I’m too impatient!!) Are you going to return his call or just wait for him to call back?
I’ve been a chicken again, I’ve sent him a couple texts but I’m trying to wriggle out the courage to call him tonight! Wish me Luck!
oops…’lose’ out (I can’t spell!)
