So I was goofing off on the internet and checking to see if I could google my blog. Lo and behold there it was! It popped right up. It was kind of exciting. I got all giggly. There on the screen was my private journal, my thoughts and confessions for anyone to read. How liberating… Until…I googled my name…
I do that every so often to see what comes up. And there it was…. My Blog.
WHAT! Oh Crap! What did I do!
My Blog is no longer this innocent thing where I can drift in anonymity. What if Mr. Oakland decides to google me before our next date! I chose to share our story, he didn’t get an option. What would he think of my confessions?
Would he get mad? I know that he detests MySpace and everything exhibitionist about it. He actually went off on a little tirade about his sister having one. (Yes, I have one! And being the obnoxious chic I am, I didn’t throw that out there in the conversation until he was almost out of steam with his rant. Rude, I know, but it was funny at the time) But in reality how many people are going to read this? One, maybe two strangers who accidentally stumble upon it.
Logic aside… I freaked! I actually deleted the whole Blog immediately… But it still lingers in cyberspace. It still pops up when you google my name but now you can’t read it anymore. If he googles me, I think he’s smart enough to figure out what I did. We probably wouldn’t be going out on that second date after all.
Putting it all in prospective though, the first thing I did after I deleted the old blog was to start this new one! Of course I had to make sure that there was no way it could be linked to the real me this time. Unless you REALLY know me. Which could mean any and all of my friends and family if they even tried a little bit. They won’t of course because I tell them everything immediately anyways.
So now that I’m pretty confident that Mr. Oakland won’t find me out, I can go about dishing the not so interesting details of our not quite a relationship with a couple of strangers who probably couldn’t care less anyways.
Good Times!
